Cariza Alvarez - Director of Patient Services
Cariza is our newest member to the BAC to Health family. She graduated from UCLA with a B.S. in Physiological Sciences in 2007 and most recently completed UCI’s School of Medicine Post-Baccalaureate Program this past June. She hopes to one day become an Obstetrician and work with underserved populations. While working for BAC to Health she continues to expand her cultural awareness through courses at Santa Monica College.
Karo Ter-Nersesyan - Intern Associate
Karo graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles in 2005 with his bachelors degree. After having completed his undergraduate studies he entered the Doctorate of Chiropractic program with Cleveland Chiropractic College in January 2006. Karo is currently attending Southern California University of Health Sciences in Whittier, CA where he will be completing his doctorate degree in April 2010.
Robert Hower - Massage Therapist
Robert is well known at BAC to Health. His caring nature, gentle hands and positive energy are what set him apart from other massage therapists and other studios. He received his masters in massage at California Healing Arts College in Santa Monica. His well rounded training includes multiple therapies such as Swedish, Shiatsu, deep tissue, sports massage, oscillation and jade stone. His work experience includes a wide variety of clients that ranges from professional ballerinas to roller derby girls, and also includes M.M.A. fighters and expecting mother's. Robert has the ability to provide the patient with individual treatment plan to fit your overall healthcare needs. Ask about our maintenance Wellness Massage package.
Shawnta Lee - Front Office Coordinator
Shawnta has been working at BAC to Health for about three years now. She started one month after graduating from Saint Mary’s Academy High School with honors. She is currently enrolled at Mount St Mary’s College and loving every minute of it. Her major is in Sociology with an expected graduation date of 2010. After achieving a Bachelor of Science, she is planning on attending USC to get a MSW (masters of social work). In addition, to her busy school and work schedule, she is an active member of AACW (African American Council of Women), Filipino club, and the nursing program at Mount St Mary’s School. Shawnta is loved by our patients and is a her sparkling personality will be sure to brighten your day!
Elizabeth Gramajo - Transcription Services Coordinator
Elizabeth is currently working as a medical biller and surgery scheduler at Pacific Endo Surgical Center and Coast Surgery Center in the city of Torrance. She became nationally certified as a medical assistant in 2003. She currently lives in Los Angeles, California with her two children, Hugo Jr., age 11 and Ariana, age 10, (both BAC to Health patients) who have inspired her to achieve her goals. In 2004, she worked as a medical assistant/physical therapy assistant for an Urgent Care facility in Los Angeles. In the year following, she began working for a pain management specialist in Beverly Hills, California as a medical back office supervisor for two years where she was also trained to transcribe workers comp, personal injury and qualified medical evaluation reports. Her skills and talent in the field of medical transcriptions brought her to BAC to Health.
